How Dreams Can Guide Your Essence Selection Process

34

I have a big mouth.  I'm tactful up to a point, especially if I don't know you, but mostly I don't mince words.    I've been using Calendula essence which helps you to choose your words wisely and see areas of communication where you might be inflicting some hurt towards others, hopefully before you do something you have to apologize for.  Calendula helps us use our words to heal rather than harm, yet it mainly exposes rather than taking care of the root issue.

I had a dream of being on a web forum where I am in real life, volunteer staff.  I see that I have two messages in my inbox so I go in and respond to those, but when I come back to the main page, I'm no longer logged in as me, but as the head honcho of the site.  I realize that whatever I said, I said as her, so I scramble back in to delete, but there's no way to delete.  I am then looking at old family photos from my childhood and the last thing I see is a snowman in an unlit fireplace/hearth.

Analysis:  Whatever I say as staff there reflects on the boss, and the site as a whole.  Once I put something out there, it can't be undone or unsaid.  Memories from childhood and how I see my biological family are affecting my communication with this family.  The snowman in the heart/hearth is probably an area of frozenness or a closing off of feeling as a response to wounding.

This is actually news to me.  Before it was "Who knows why I say the things I say?"  Lack of patience, critical nature?  Those aren't really reasons, those are the byproduct of other issues.

Now that I am getting to the bottom of this, I can use some essences that do a deeper work in me than calendula on its own could.  I can pick Iceberg Rose to melt feelings of rejection and judgement held in the heart so I don't pass that on to the next person.  Also Milk Thistle to clear out any unconscious anger towards family, and stay on calendula of course!  I'll round that out with some other supporting essences too, but that's my custom combo based on information I got from a dream!

How To Get The Most From Your Dreams
  • Keep a notebook, pen and book light by your bed so you can write them down immediately.  Intention is half of it.
  • As soon as you find yourself awake, stay still and search your mind for any dreams you might have had.  Write down anything even if only a fragment.  Being faithful in the process will help.
  • Go to bed early enough that the alarm doesn't have to wake you.  Those rude awakenings can shatter the dream world for some people.  You need that period between awake and asleep to transfer those night messages into the day.
  • Talking about your dreams with a friend can be enlightening even if they have no interpretation skills.  Sometimes merely going through it out loud will help you discover the meaning.
  • The more you value dreams, the more attention you give them, the more you'll have and be able to gain from them.

And the site where I'm volunteer staff at?  It's an online school for dream interpretation.  You can either be a student, or post dreams for them to practice on.  Go check it out!
