The $18 Shot

This month I have seen first hand the need to go over some ground rules about how to take care of your flower essences. Sometimes I forget that for some of you, I'm your only source of essence info, so lets make sure you know how to keep your essences strong and effective. I've been to visit some of you guys and have seen essences being stored on top of the microwave, essences sitting in windowsills, essences on their sides and I've even witnessed somebody sucking on the end of the dropper and then putting it back in the bottle. Essences are vibrational healers, if you were to go to a lab and have these analyzed, you would find water and alcohol. There is no biochemical means to their healing, they are an energetically imprinted substance. Therefore, they need to be protected against other energy such as radiation (keep away from the microwave). They are not as sensitive as homeopathics, because the succussion and dilution is not done to essences, so if you are used to homeopathy you don't have to be quite so careful. For the same reason, you don't want to touch the dropper and put it back in the bottle. It's not a germ issue, its your energy potentially weakening the essence.

Ok, the windowsill deal, not the end of the world but you should keep them out of direct light. I put them in colored glass for that reason, they should be fine in normal house light with the blue glass, but don't push it by keeping them in the sun. Storing them upright is also better because the alcohol is a solvent. We use it to extract the medicinal qualities from herbs, but it will try to extract the rubber part of your dropper if you give it a chance. You don't want that in your body. On a side note, never buy booze in a plastic bottle, I don't care how cheap it is.

Anyway, stand them upright for long term storage, and I don't know how much this matters, but squeeze all the liquid out of the dropper before you put it back in the bottle so if it does get knocked over, there's minimal contact.

There's also been a report of drinking the entire bottle of Crisis Care in one gulp. Now, while I can understand needing a shot of brandy while under extreme duress, this is reeeeeally wasteful. Flower essences are OD proof, a dose is a dose is a dose, no mater how big it is. If you have an acute situation, which is most likely if you are taking Crisis Care, the best thing would be to take 4 drops every minute or so until you settle down. Either that or put 4 drops in water and keep sipping. "Well yeah, but the shot worked." Great! You'll need to pay me $17.95 for a replacement bottle every time you have a rough day!

Don't miss any updates!
